Getting set up
1. Download the app
Open the app and complete the initial setup questions.
2. Follow VTA on Str8 Sets
In the Str8 Sets app, go to Clubs, search “Vancouver Tennis Association” and click Follow This Club.
Sign up for Play Sessions (and other programs)
Register for Play Session via “Clinics”
Once you’re set up in Str8 Sets you can register for this week’s Play Session via Clinics in the app.
You will be required to prepay for Play Sessions when signing up
Str8 Sets can securely store your payment information (if you would like) for easier payment each week.
Email Notifications
We recommend enabling push notifications for the Str8 Sets app. This is the quickest way to be notified when sign-up for the Play Session is open.
If you prefer email notifications, you can enable those:
- Open Str8Sets.
- Click the three dots on the top right.
- Click on Settings.
- Under the section “Email Notifications”, make sure you check the 3 options available: Fillin, Matcha, Messages.
- If they were already checked but you weren’t receiving notifications whenever someone messaged in the app, uncheck them and recheck them.
Membership Renewal
Membership renewal cannot be processed until your existing membership has expired.
- Open Str8Sets.
- Go to Clubs.
- Click on Vancouver Tennis Association.
- Scroll down to the “Your Membership” section.
- Select “Make A Payment”.
If your membership has lapsed for longer than 30 days, you will have to reactivate your profile by emailing info@vtatennis.ca
We recommend enabling the “Auto-renew my membership” option to not have to worry about it in the future 🙂
FAQs
Do I have to use the app?
Yes, all of our members will require access to the app to join programs and renew their membership (pay dues). Unfortunately there is no web portal at this stage.
This app will help us in the organization and streamline our club administration – as well as open up further opportunities for tennis programs.

Is payment and credit card information secure?
Payment and credit card information is securely handled by Stripe. Stripe is the second most used payment technology. You can read more about Stripe’s security.
