2010 Intermediate Tennis
This session is for lower to higher skilled intermediate players (from 2.5 to 3.5 skill level - refer to the Tennis Rating page for skill level clarification). You should have a solid grasp of the rules of tennis and be familiar with playing doubles. This intermediate session is social in nature. The focus is to have fun and gain match experience.
This year we have TWO intermediate play sessions. You may register for only ONE play session. Players registered for a specific play session have priority over drop-ins or players from other sessions. If you come to a different play session and there is still space, then you may participate.

To register in person at a play session :fill out the registration form and bring the form with payment to your desired play session.
Format: Upon arrival, you will be assigned to a court by your skill level. Higher level intermediate players will be on court 1, and lower level intermediate players will be on lower numbered courts . After a 30 minute shift playing doubles, the winners move up a court, and the losers move down a court. The teams then split to form a new doubles pairing.
We have reserved 4 or 6 courts at Stanley Park depending on the session. We can accommodate up to 24 players on Fridays, and 16 players on Mondays, on a first-come, first-served basis. VTA members registered for that evenings session have priority over players registered for other play sessions.
On both Mondays and Fridays we have the courts from 6pm till dark, so members may continue to play tennis on their own after 8pm. This is great news especially on those days when the sun doesn’t set until 9pm.
